Enzo joined his forever family when he was about two months old, goofy, cuddly and lovable to meet new people. A rare genetic mutation that distinguishes it from others.
Enzo was born with a large black patch around his eye, almost completely covering the left side of his face. A beautiful mole results from a rare disease called somatic pigmented cell mutation.
Enzo’s mother, Ella Castro, told The Dodo that golden retrievers are born with a basic black coat, with a “modified gene” that makes them golden.
Enzo’s condition is not common at all which makes him a very special and incredibly unique little puppy of his breed.
Although it may be rare, the Enzo is completely oblivious to this and has no idea how different it is from any other dog. Strangers are always fascinated by Enzo and his little freckles, meanwhile Enzo just wants to befriend the whole world no matter who they are or what they look like.
