Although the outfit might be a bit of a shock to the traditional generations, crop tops have been a staple of modern fashion trends for quite some time now. The only thing that distinguished Karisha from other cropped wearers was the fact that her midriff protruded just below the hem of her crop top.
According to Charisha on CBS News, the restaurant cited “health law violations” as the reason they asked Charisha to leave. Karisha was furious when she walked out of the restaurant and posted an angry rant on her Facebook page, along with a photo of the allegedly “unacceptable” outfit.
When the story went viral and locals vowed never to enter the restaurant again, the establishment’s management stepped in to post an apology on their social media page
“The server in question has been with our [company] for almost 20 years,” the statement to the local news media issued by Buzz Inn management read. “[She] was trying to use her best judgment and by no means was trying to be demeaning to [Charisha].” The company went on to offer their “sincerest apologies.”
