Little did the men know that her mother, Beth Turner, had groomed her so well for life, by example and verbal instruction, according to ABC News. Jordan was always told not to let anyone go unmentioned because that’s where really bad things happen to people.
She was also told when her mother was assaulted and successfully responded. Similar to Jordan’s experience, it was when his mother left her car. Her mother kicked the man who attacked her and she fled.
Hearing the chilling words that these two men intended to harm her, she told the Inside Edition that she thought to herself:
“You know, I’ll be as strong as my mother. I’ll get through this.”
Thinking of his mother’s wise words, Jordan devised a plan. She didn’t put her seat belt on when she got back into the car. As they approached an intersection with cars coming from three different directions, I put the car in neutral, opened the door and threw myself out of the car driving over 30 mph . Then she fled on foot.
