As the actor’s household manager, Ben King, taking a stand to testify, he recalled an incident in which he cut off Depp’s finger, prompting Amber’s attorney Heard, Ben Rothenborn, to stop his statement citing “interception rumours”.
This objection prompted the Pirates of the Caribbean actor, as well as his lawyer, to laugh softly.
“Wait, you asked the question,” the judge added.
However, that’s not the only time rumors have sown confusion in a defamation lawsuit.
As the 58-year-old actor was talking about a chef cooking Heard’s favorite Mexican meal for his birthday, he caught himself and said, “Those are rumors I think.”
The judge replied, “I’m not sure the fact of the matter has even been shown.”
He heard Mr. Depp’s attorney say, “He gets it.
“I’m learning,” the Hollywood actor said with a smile.
According to ABC News, star Edward Scissorhands ended his testimony by coming forward as a victim of domestic violence.
The actor is suing his ex-wife for defamation over a 2018 Washington Post editorial in which she claimed she was physically and emotionally abused.
He concluded his testimony by saying that he was the real victim of domestic violence.
Depp’s lawyer, Camille Vasquez, asked him: “What did you say when Ms. Heard said, ‘Tell the world, Johnny, tell them I’m Johnny Depp, man, I’m a victim of violence too domestic ? “” “
Depp replied: I said yes, I am.
The allegations come after the court heard recordings of Depp hurling profanity at Heard; However, Depp maintains that he never physically harmed her.
The court also read Depp’s hot text exchange between him and WandaVision rep Paul Bettany, in which they talked about Heard’s “burn”.
However, Depp clarified his comments, saying he was only speaking figuratively and never intended to hurt his ex.
He said: “It’s important to know that none of this was meant to be real and that the language used… Yes, I’m ashamed (that) it’s spreading around the world like peanut butter.”
For example, the text on Mrs. Heard’s fire is taken directly from Monty Python and the diagram on the burning of the witches and then the drowning of the witches.
“It’s a movie we all watched when we were 10, it’s just irreverent, abstract humor.”
