Hope For Paws received a text message on their emergency line about a cat trapped in a car engine. The woman was walking with her unknowingly, but someone started barking to alert her to the cat.
Eldad was trying to grab the kitten from below, but there was no real way to get her out of there. They erected a fence to secure the area, but there wasn’t enough to get around the car, and the cat ran and hid under another car.
They did a car after car check until they finally found the kitten. Then they spent several minutes knocking on neighborhood doors trying to find the owner of the car for assistance. The hood was opened, and there the cat sat down!
The cat’s name was Axle and was brought back to the hospital for a bath. Now free of oil and grease, Axle is staying at Cat Connection Los Angeles as he waits to find his forever home.
