We have seen people bond with dogs, cats, birds and monkeys. But can you imagine having animal friends like this? Over the years, Darek has developed a deep friendship with the two elephants in the Elephant Nature Park in Thailand. While Darek loves all the elephants in the nature park, he has forged a particularly strong bond with Kham La.
As a volunteer, Darek had time to watch the elephants grow up and was able to participate in their lives. Together, they built a relationship of trust. Although all elephants love Darek, Kham Laa has become completely attached to her human friend.
