At Zak’s wedding on April 9, 2022, the three brothers escorted their mother, who used a wheelchair, to the dance floor. In a video that has been viewed more than 3.6 million times since it was shared on the Instagram account of wedding planner Root to Stems, twins Jake and Nick gently helped their mother to stand and supported her as she danced with Zak.

“I was quite anxious when we approached the dance floor, not because I was concerned about my boys; it was more about the fear of being the center of attention,” Poirier admitted.

Throughout the dance, tears welled up in Poirier’s eyes as her sons held her close.

“Once I stepped onto the dance floor, I felt secure with my boys,” she shared. “They assured me, ‘Don’t worry, we’ve got you. We won’t let you go.’ It was a moment I had dreamt about for a long time.”

Zak tried his best to hold back his emotions, but he too found himself battling tears. With teary eyes, he whispered “I love you” to his mother as they swayed to the music.

“I struggled to hold back my tears, but it was an incredible feeling,” she continued, as she spoke to the Epoch Times. “It felt liberating to get up and share such a moment with my son during a milestone in his life. It was truly beautiful.”
