A young family from Poland, who moved to the UK to start a new life there, managed to turn an old, neglected house for over 30 years into a dream home.
Ewelina Mejka (36 years old) and her husband, Przemyslaw (33 years old), bought a derelict house in Rugby, Warwickshire, Great Britain, in 2018, for 155,000 pounds. After six weeks, the two renovated the house, completely transforming it into the home they have always dreamed of.
“The house was in a deplorable condition. No one could take care of her anymore. The house was left in ruins “, said Ewelina, according to the international press.
Ewelina and Przemyslaw have two daughters, Amelia, 12, and Lena, 9, who helped them renovate the house. In addition to the things they had to buy, the four of them put their creativity and skill to work and personally made some small furniture accessories and objects, such as a coffee table, a few chairs, shelves or magazine racks, shoes, etc.
In the end, the Mejka family said they were extremely pleased with the result: “We love how it all turned out. It is our first home and we have personally completely renovated it, from scratch. Every day we enjoy the decision we made when we bought the house. It was hard, but it was worth the effort. ”
