While in the hospital, Petit left Sandy in the care of his neighbor. However, neighbor Sandy went off to a dog park when she had to go on a trip, leaving Petit separated from his beloved pet.
Naturally, Pettit freaked out when he couldn’t find his dog.
He even went so far as to hire a pet investigator to try to locate Sandy after he couldn’t find her after visiting several animal shelters, according to Patch.com.
Pettit also offered a $500 reward for Sandy’s safe return. He was clearly desperate to find his dog.
