Loved you since I was 8!!!” Having stood in front of Melbourne’s Government House for over seven hours, she hoped to meet Prince Harry. India’s handwritten sign turned her dream into reality.
When Prince Harry noticed the sign, he walked directly toward India and even offered her a hug. The crowd erupted with excitement as Prince Harry bent down to embrace India over the barricade, leaving her overwhelmed with joy.
India later shared her experience with 7 News Melbourne: “I’ve loved that family since I was 8. I’ve followed them around the world. It was just such an opportunity, and I just went for it. I didn’t expect it to happen because it’s actually against protocol, but it was just phenomenal. And he reciprocated the hug, too.”
