The two were stunned to learn that they would soon be parents to five children instead of the three they had been expecting. While pregnancy with triplets is certainly exciting, it also comes with some risks.
They discovered that two of the children, Annabella and Camilla, were identical twins who shared the same placenta while Daniela was a fraternal triple. Angie’s doctors have warned her that one of the identical sisters may not develop properly due to a shared placenta, reports Maternity Week.
Other risks of complications include cerebral hemorrhage and underdeveloped lungs. While the family hoped for the best, their anxiety grew when they discovered that one of the same girls was drinking too much liquid while the other was not drinking enough.
After 27 weeks, Angie was admitted to hospital so she could be monitored by medical staff. Although it may be difficult for her and her family to be away from home, she wanted the best for her children.
