In the video, Wright initially stared at his wife in disbelief, but soon a beaming smile spread across his face as the weight of the good news sank in. He reached over and took the pregnancy test from Rock, while Colichia began offering congratulations to the expectant father. On the passenger side window, Colichia’s partner emerged with a sizable bag filled with gifts for Wright. Delving into the bag, Wright uncovered a small teddy bear with a note attached that read, “Dad, see you on your birthday.” It turned out that the baby was due on Wright’s birthday, making it a doubly special gift. Additionally, he found a newborn onesie with the words “I ? my amazing dad” emblazoned on it.
The news of the impending arrival was particularly heartening for the couple, especially for Wright, an army war veteran who had served in Afghanistan from 2013 to 2014 and was grappling with PTSD. Following the viral spread of the surprise pregnancy reveal video, Wright initiated a GoFundMe page to help cover the costs of frequent hospital visits.
“I’ve been struggling with my psychological disorders; being admitted to an inpatient hospital twice within the last 6 months and numerous Emergency Room visits due to panic and anxiety attacks. I actually met the officers in the video during a very traumatic panic episode in November 2016, and ever since, he’s become a great advocate for my family and me,” he explained
