After his father began experiencing chest pains and difficulty breathing, he called 911 for help. However, it was Savannah who had to take the call when her father became too uncomfortable to continue the conversation.
While listening to the conversation, you can hear Savannah easily taking the call, informing the dispatcher that her father can’t breathe. The dispatcher assured the young girl that help was on the way and that her job was to stay with her father and make sure he didn’t sleep.
The smart little girl was able to stay on the phone with the operator and continue to answer questions about her father’s deteriorating condition while comforting her dad. Savannah went to open the door so help could come in and help her struggling father.
Sweet Savannah even reassured the sender with the reassuring words “So far so good!” Savannah stayed on the phone for a good ten minutes with Jason Bonham, the Hancock County dispatcher who took the call.
Savannah’s mother is grateful that news of the appeal is still circulating on social media. She is confident that she will continue to help as more and more people realize the importance of teaching children to call 911 in an emergency.
