Soon Judy married judge Jerry Sheindlin, who became an arbitrator on the TV show “People’s Court.”
Their marriage also ended in divorce in 1990, but their separation only lasted a year when they remarried in 1991, according to the Daily Mail. From this marriage, she has three sons, Gregory, Jonathan and Nicole.
It wouldn’t be surprising to learn that three of his children are pursuing careers in the legal industry. According to the New York Times, Adam Levy served as a district attorney for Putnam County, New York, and both are attorneys for Gregory and Nicole.
Nicole even co-founded “Her Honor Mentoring” with her mother; A program that aims to pair senior high school students with successful guidance counselors to give them career guidance in the future.
Jody passed the New York State Bar exams in 1965. Her roles later included working as a corporate lawyer and later becoming a New York Family Court prosecutor. She became a criminal court judge in 1982, working her way up to work for the Manhattan Family Court Division.
