An alligator named Mr. Stubbs has got a new 3D-printed prosthetic tail made just for him thanks to technology and the right people.
The reptile lived for many years without a tail, which it lost in illegal transportation by animal traffickers. He was supposed to live on land, because he could not move without a tail in the water.
In 2013, Mr. Stubbs was rescued and taken to the Phoenix Herpetological Society Preserve, where the good people channeled their ideas of providing a new prosthetic tail for the crocodile.
Using a 3D printer, they also made their ideas a reality, but at the time, due to fairly recent technology, the tail performance wasn’t at its best. The old-tailed Aligator quickly outgrew.
With the advancement of technology, I have now prepared a new crocodile tail that works as it should. Thanks to the tail, the crocodile is now free to swim in the water and its life is back to normal.
Many thanks to the right people for such a beautiful job!
