Matthias Niebel does it easily in the 2018 episode of the German version of the popular TV show The Voice, The Voice of Germany. For the audition, Nibel chose the popular Bon Jovi song called Bed of Roses.
From the start of the song, it’s clear that the judges are already emotionally invested in the performance. As Nebel dives into the higher parts of the song, two judges immediately pushed buttons in an effort to coach this incredible song. The two remaining judges were quick to decide to move on to the next round. They were so impressed with Nebel’s performance that they both started rolling on the floor like excited puppies.
As the four leaders pressed their buttons, team members Nebel, half-brother and father all celebrated the special moment. Michael Patrick Kelly ended up coaching Nebel, which is a fitting pair considering Kelly is a huge Bon Jovi fan.
Nebel’s hearing is currently The Voice of Germany’s second most viewed YouTube channel, after only four million views from the highest viewership. The video is also adorned with over 11,000 comments, in German and English, praising Nebel as a strength for musicians. One of the best comments said “I can’t get enough of going back to watch this”. “Best performances ever.”
Bon Jovi’s 1993 hit song was written by Jon Bon Jovi in a hotel room. Although the band entered the scene as a metal band, this song gave the band a more mature feel, proving that their music was deep.
