Samaritans Purse partners with these organizations and churches to bring some joy and vitality to this Christmas occasion. As Samaritan’s Purse said, 135 million children in 150 countries have received a fund filled with contributions since the program began in 1993.
Seven-year-old Tyrel Wolfe took part in a mission that would change their lives forever. The little boy and his family, through their church, participated in Operation Christmas Child and Samaritan’s Purse.
Tyrel was happy to pack the box, but he stopped thinking about it and his family immediately sent it to their church where he was sent to the Philippines.
Ten years later, Tyrel received a friend request on Facebook from a lady named Joana Marchan. Then they started posting on Facebook. Joanne was eager to meet the person who sent the box so she could appreciate it.
But Tyrel has been warned to be careful because the lady has the same name as the girl they sent ten years ago. The same little girl they sent the box to, the same letters was Tyrel.
