In 1944, during World War II 70 years ago, American and Allied forces launched an invasion into Normandy, France.

It would go down in history with a keepsake held every year since. In all of this, one small child stood out.

In 2014, this 11-year-old child traveled from the United States to France. He wanted to go to the cemetery in his nice World War II uniform, but the police wouldn’t let him in, so he decided to go to Omaha Beach and do his job there.

He planted the American flag in the sand and fixed it against the strong winds. That’s when it happened!

At that precise moment, the little boy saw the troops descending on the shore and towards their destiny. The little boy welcomed them and held them for more than an hour and a half, braving the strong winds. Children and tourists rushed to the beach to see the boy who turned out to be a little hero!

Watch this beautiful video and feel the emotion. If you think what this boy did is really cool, drop us a comment and tell us about it, and also share the clip with your friends!
