Someone brought a mixed Maltese / Yorkie dog to a shelter in Riverside County, Calif. In the strangest “carrier” staff have ever seen. They have seen a lot of it over the years! Here’s a fluffy little puppy in a packet of Crunchberry cereal.
“We’ve seen creative pet carriers these days,” they said on Facebook. “A real box of Cap’n Crunch cereal has to be one of the most unusual ways for a pet to come to us as an over-the-counter drip.”
When shelter workers pulled the dog out of the cereal box, they discovered it was covered in fleas. The woman who brought Razz Berry to the shelter said she found the dog in the park, but staff wondered if she was in fact the real owner of the puppy and didn’t want to transfer the fleas to herself.
Razz Berry was so friendly and playful, and after cleaning her up she started to zoom into the shelter! The cereal box photo gained a lot of attention online and even ranked the news, people lined up for the chance to adopt the sweet girl
The lucky ones who won the lottery to adopt Ra’s Berry were a family that had just lost their dog, Ginger. They decide to fill the holes in their hearts and help a dog who has no one to love. Their other dog, Pepper, a Maltese / Yorkie mix like Razz Berry, would also benefit from a new friend.
Raz Perry is now in his loving forever home with Teresa, James and Hayden Sheets! It was just meant to be. ??
