Tia is the miracle worker in this particular story. It all happened when she found an injured 55-pound dog while she was climbing a mountain with her 76-year-old father on a beautiful day. I told Pickler and Ben what happened next.
The two were hiking when they noticed an injured and abandoned dog. Another family was with the dog, but they couldn’t help it. Tia and her father would spend about a third of their trip, but Tia didn’t let the animal die. The poor dog wasn’t moving well due to the injuries he had sustained, and Tia knew there was no way he could get back down the mountain on his own.
It was then that she decided to pick up the dog and carry it on her shoulders. I carried it down the mountain this way for six hours. Tia said the jumping spaniel was “beaten badly”. You think he could have been on the mountainside for several days or even a week.
Tia told Pickler and Ben that the trip wasn’t easy at all. They had to walk in the snow and at one point even got lost. She said it was definitely one of the hardest things she’s ever had to do.
She descended the mountain for six miles and took six hours with the dog on her back. However, she knows it’s worth it. She finally saved the life of a Spring Spaniel.
The dog received emergency care as soon as Tia managed to get him off the mountain. Boomer, as he is now called, is recovering well. Tia is now well on her way to helping him, driving for four hours to see a specialist vet. We are so happy that Boomer and Tia met at the bottom of the mountain!
